Position Summary

Kwolyewm Services, LLC is seeking a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic to repair machinery or mechanical/electrical equipment. Work involves most of the following: examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose the source of trouble, dismantling or partly dismantling machines, and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts. In general, the work of a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic requires rounded training and experience, usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Examine gasoline, diesel, hydraulic, and/or electric machines and mechanical equipment or devices, including overhead roll-up doors and electric motorized and/or mechanical gates, to diagnose sources of trouble.
• Dismantle or partly dismantle machines/equipment/devices and perform repairs using hand and/or power tools.
• Make repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts.
• Replace broken or defective parts.
• Perform repairs, in general, to overhead roll-up doors and electric motorized and/or mechanical gates.
• Order/request replacement parts or send machine/equipment/devices to the machine shop for major repairs.
• Reassemble machines/equipment/devices, making necessary adjustments for operation.
• Prepare written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered from a machine shop.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through three (3) years of experience in a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.

Certificates or Licenses Required

• Valid Driver's License. Must maintain an acceptable driving record while in this position.

Physical Requirements

• Maneuvering in, around, and on equipment.
• Bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Lifting and moving tools, equipment, and/or materials up to 35 pounds.

Work Environment

• Work is performed at a customer's location in an office, shop, warehouse, or outdoor environment. Equipment is located in crawl spaces, rooftops, and outside facility. Employees may be exposed to toxic substances, electrical shock, noise from equipment, and, depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat.
