About C&B Piping, LLC:

Founded in Adamsville, Alabama, in 1986, C&B Piping, LLC., is a full-service manufacturer and supplier of ductile iron piping systems, with a primary focus on the water and wastewater treatment industry nationwide. We fabricate a full range (3" - 64"+) of ductile iron pipe and now we are expanding our steel fabrication and piping capabilities to better serve our customers.

At C&B Piping, LLC., we have more manufacturing machines for ductile iron pipe under one roof than any other ductile iron fabricator in the country. We are also one of the largest licensed applicators of Protecto 401 Ceramic Epoxy and Ceramapure PL90 linings.

Our headquarters and primary manufacturing facility is now located in Leeds, Alabama, while our Gilbert, Arizona fabrication and linings/coatings facility proudly serves our western United States customers, and our Amhurst, Virginia facility proudly serves our Eastern United Stated Customers.

Our CAD Piping Designers:

• Prepare and revise 3-D models using BIM software.
• Create and update 2-D engineering drawings and 3-D models according to C&B Piping's standards and procedures in Autodesk Revit.
• Develop and modify equipment layout, piping, instrumentation, mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Creates, revises, and executes designs from sketches, plans, and written or verbal instructions.
• Utilize the Redline system, ensuring all updates are consistent throughout drawing sets.
• Communicate effectively with project engineers, managers, contractors, and manufacturing staff as required.
• Provide input on company graphics, standards, and drafting procedures; helping maintain and improve design documentation practices.
• Support engineering through tasks including plotting drawings, filing originals, and creating PDF's.
• Testing CAD/CAE software updates for compatibility and functionality.
• Perform other drafting or design support duties as needed and/or assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Associate's degree in computer aided drafting/design or related field.
• Previous relevant work experience can be used to substitute education requirements.

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience using two or more CAD Software packages: (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Speedikon, COMOS, or E3D).
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit modeling software.
• Prior experience in engineering or construction projects is a plus!

Skills:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills let's work together!
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Organized, punctual, adaptable, and professional.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

Physical and Work Environment:

• Primarily office-based; minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
• Light physical effort in a sedentary environment.
• Occasional tasks may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials (Possibly up to 10 lbs.)
• Occasional travel to visit job sites or industrial/commercial facilities.
• This position is an on-site role, not remote or hybrid.
