Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Assistant Director of Admissions for Undergraduate Admissions. The Assistant Director will serve as an advisor, counselor, and interpreter of the University's policies to any individual seeking admission to the University. This individual will assist all Admissions events, develop and maintain contact with prospective students, schools and churches, as well as provide any necessary follow-up. This position reports directly to the Director of Admissions. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.

This is a full-time (40+ hours per week), 12-month position.

Summary of Duties:

• Assist the Director of Admissions in the development of recruiting strategies and actively recruiting prospective students
• Plan, organize, and assist in the involvement of the campus community in the student recruitment efforts and in major recruiting events
• Serve as liaison between the Admissions Office and other University departments
• Development of Admissions promotional information
• Generate contact information of prospective students through different sources and initiate correspondence
• Follow up on all inquiries and applications on a weekly basis
• Assist in obtaining financial aid for the prospective student in conjunction with Financial Aid Office
• Supervise work-study students and student ambassadors
• Serve as the University representative and work closely with secondary institutions and their guidance counselors

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; experience will be considered in lieu of degree
• One to two years related experience
• Excellent recruiting, written and oral communication skills
• Active member of the church of Christ
