Job Summary:

Foresight Biosciences Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Scientist to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in glycobiology, protein chemistry, and enzymology, with a focus on the engineering and optimization of glycosylated therapeutic proteins. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research aimed at advancing the field of glycobiology and improving therapeutic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in the area of glycobiology, focusing on the engineering of glycosylated proteins.

• Develop and optimize enzymatic tools and assay kits for modifying glycosylation patterns of therapeutic proteins.

• Design and execute experiments to evaluate the impact of glycosylation modifications on protein function and therapeutic efficacy.

• Analyze and interpret experimental data, and communicate findings through scientific publications and presentations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into practical applications for therapeutic development.

• Stay current with the latest advancements in glycobiology and related fields to inform research strategies.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Glycobiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.

• Postdoctoral experience in glycobiology or a related area is preferred.

• Strong expertise in protein chemistry, enzymology, and glycosylation techniques.

• Proficiency in designing and conducting experiments, data analysis, and interpretation.

• Experience with various analytical techniques, including mass spectrometry, HPLC, and fluorescence-based assays.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of scientific publications.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
