Position Description:

Banner Defense is looking for a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide systems engineering and technical support to assess and develop the future Missile Defense System.

Responsibilities:

• Assess Missile Defense (MD) threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities, and develop potential system mitigations and capability evolutions at the architecture level
• Support the above efforts by sourcing, generating, and organizing engineered threat data; developing threat scenarios; reviewing current threat intelligence reports
• Support analysis efforts of MDS architecture studies on the DoD High Performance Computing (HPC)
• Support Missile Defense Wargaming efforts
• Review and provide quality assurance of team analysis products prior to delivery; mentor younger engineers

Required Skills/Experience:

• US Citizenship
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI
• Masters in STEM field
• 12+ years' experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD program / project
• Extensive knowledge of the current MDS architecture and/or foreign missile systems
• Experience with Excel and data analysis
• Experience with MATLAB
• Travel may be required

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
• Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving future concepts
• Experience with TGx, HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus
• Experience with BMD Benchmark
• Experience with large datasets and data organization methods
• Experience working in the Missile Defense Agency
