The Counter Host role is Part-Time and based in our bustling food court location. Join our team where all roles are crucial in continuing the exciting growth we’ve seen. This role is integral to offering the welcoming and efficient service that Marano's d'asporto prides itself on.

• Greet customers promptly and offer them menus and information on special offers and menu changes.
• Operate the cash register, manage financial transactions, and ensure the correct prices are charged for items purchased.
• Assist customers with their orders by explaining menu items, recommending products, and making adjustments as requested.
• Ensure that the counter and dining area remain clean and presentable throughout the day.
• Restock items and inform management of any inventory needs or shortages.
• Handle customer complaints and queries, ensuring a swift and satisfactory resolution.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items.
• Uphold the company’s health and safety protocols, ensuring all food and drink are handled correctly.
• Engage with customers beyond transactional interactions, aiming to enhance their dining experience and foster a welcoming environment.
• Cross-train with other staff members to assist in kitchen tasks such as food preparation and clean-up during peak periods.

• Experience in customer service or a similar role is highly advantageous.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Interest in culinary practices and enthusiasm to learn about menu items and food preparation techniques.
• Willingness to take initiative and ownership of the role, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle the bustle of a busy dining environment.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and completing transactions quickly and accurately.
• Dedication to personal hygiene and professional appearance.
