Introduction

The Prince William Public Library Human Resources Department is seeking a Recruiting Assistant (Administrative Coordinator) to provide exceptional internal customer service to library management and staff. The Prince William Public Libraries currently employs over 270 staff, including full-time, part-time and substitute positions. We are seeking a motivated, detailed-oriented administrative professional who is passionate about assisting managers to hire the best. About the role: As the Recruiting Assistant for the Prince William Public Library Human Resources Department, you will serve multiple duties, to include:

  • Assist hiring managers by preparing and editing recruiting documents, such as job ads, interview questions, offer letters, Personnel Action Forms, recruiting templates, etcÂ…
  • Participate on and provide guidance during interview panels as the Library Human Resources representative.
  • Assist with facilitating Human Resources-related training for managers and staff.
  • Provide general (non-recruitment) Human Resources personnel policy and procedure guidance to management and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Prince William Public Libraries and other county agencies.
Minimum Requirements: HS Diploma, plus 3 years of administrative support experience, to include at least one year of Human Resources experience . Preferences: What does it take for you to be successful?
  • Experience participating on interview panels.
  • Experience reviewing and editing recruitment documents such as job ads, interview questions, etcÂ…
  • A minimum of one year's general Human Resources experience.
  • Experience providing assistance to all levels of management.
  • Experience using MS Word to create documents, manuals, templates, and general correspondence.
  • Experience using MS Excel to create and maintain reports.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system (Ex. Neogov, HRIS or Volunteer Management software).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Special Requirements: The position requires travel to County facilities and other branches within the system. A DMV check will be conducted for employees who drive while on County business. Work Schedule: This is a non-exempt - 37.5 hour per week position. The hours of the position are 8:30-5:00 Monday - Friday. Starting Salary Range : $27.63 - $33.66 ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
