Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-eligible)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Prior experience teaching students with disabilities in a school setting
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of each learner
- Create, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student progress
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and student records in compliance with regulations
- Provide regular updates to families and participate in IEP meetings
- Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and adjust learning strategies
- Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment
