LEAF Senior Collector

: Responsible for the collections of assigned past due accounts generally greater than 60 days delinquent or materially larger balance sizes. Resolve all administrative or other issues to resolve the delinquency at the root cause. Majority of contact is done thru the telephone and mail. Responsible for arranging repossessions, assist/support remarketing of equipment, qualifying and preparing files for litigation, skip search, managing special correspondence and other tasks as necessary. Perform workout in pursuit of mitigating or minimizing losses. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Pursue resolution of severe delinquent or complex workout cases via telephone to secure payment or minimize loss. Process file preparation for escalation of actions (legal referral, skip tracing, repossessions etc.) Resolve disputes that results in payment or resolution of past due status Ensure compliance to LEAF's 61+ day treatment tracks are executed Basic knowledge of UCC and assessing risk. Ability to comfortably engage in settlement negotiations with customers, attorneys, or LEAF's assigned collections agencies and attorneys. Ability to risk assess customer's capacity to pay and the impact of settlement amounts on LEAF's losses as well as accounting treatment track when engaged in settlement negotiations. Perform other duties or projects as assigned by management. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 4 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' collections, workout and/or recovery experience Proven verbal and written communications skills Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent spreadsheet, word processing and email software Proven problem-solving skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Minimum of an Associates degree Minimum of 5 years' collections experience with at least 2 years' commercial equipment leasing and finance collections, workout and/or recovery experience Workout and credit analysis experience Location Clanton, Alabama, United States of America
