Outside Sales Representative - Industrial Construction Solutions - Base Salary to 100k/year - Huntsville, AL
- Our client is a multinational access, scaffolding, and forming/shoring partner to industrial, commercial, and infrastructure customers. With more than 340 locations across 25 countries, they help customers complete projects safer, faster, and more efficiently through engineered work access, containment, and support solutions. Their teams support both maintenance and capital projects by delivering systems that improve productivity, safety, and reliability on complex job sites.
- They are adding an Outside Sales Representative for the Huntsville market focused on industrial facilities such as refineries, manufacturing plants, power plants, and processing environments. This role sells across the company’s full portfolio of engineered jobsite solutions including access systems, scaffolding, shoring, containment, and related services. Rather than selling a single product, the Outside Sales Representative will evaluate the work being performed, visualize how crews will safely complete the task, and recommend the right combination of modular solutions to support the project.
Responsibilities:
- Build and execute a territory strategy targeting plant managers, maintenance leaders, contractors, and industrial project managers.
- Conduct site visits at industrial facilities to understand work scope, safety requirements, and operational constraints.
- Translate maintenance and capital project requirements into practical jobsite solutions across the company’s full product portfolio.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to develop equipment plans, labor assumptions, logistics strategies, and pricing.
- Prepare proposals and quotations using internal pricing tools and negotiate projects through award.
- Develop long-term relationships with facility owners and contractors performing work within plants.
- Identify opportunities within maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and capital projects to expand services and increase utilization of the full product line.
- Support project startup and remain engaged through execution to ensure the solution delivered aligns with customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer engagement within CRM while reporting results to regional leadership.
Qualifications:
- Proven outside sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
- Experience selling technical products or solutions into industrial or construction environments.
- Ability to evaluate jobsites, understand project scope, and translate site conditions into workable solutions.
- Comfortable working directly with plant personnel, contractors, and project teams in field environments.
- Background selling into mechanical contractors, electrical contractors, industrial maintenance providers, or technical construction services is highly desirable.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and maintaining disciplined pipeline management.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 85k - 100k/year range, plus uncapped commission
- Vehicle allowance plus mileage reimbursement
