Team Leader

Responsibilities Provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. Serve as the front-line manager to develop tax office associates, deliver an outstanding client experience, and achieve office growth objectives. Act as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates. Lead daily team meetings, develop associate schedules, ensure accurate timekeeping, and manage workloads to meet deadlines and quality standards. Train and coach associates to meet Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions. Recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions in collaboration with the District General Manager, and assist with local partnerships and community involvement. Handle on-site escalated client service concerns and resolve scheduling conflicts to ensure smooth operations. Prepare tax returns, as required, and support ongoing tax knowledge development. Qualifications Prior experience in a customer service, shift lead, or similar role; experience supervising or managing people. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns). Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and state requirements. Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong customer-centric mindset, with adaptability to flexible schedules and business needs.
