Database Engineer, Senior
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Database Engineer, Senior in Huntsville, AL. Summary: In this role, you will work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You'll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.
- Experience using Shell and Python scripting, Terraform, and Ansible for automation
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools like Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes for seamless PostgreSQL deployment and management
- Experience in deploying and managing PostgreSQL databases on cloud platforms like AWS
- Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels
- Ability to work in a complex enterprise environment and determine the best solution required for business and customer needs
- Ability to manage tasks and projects independently with minimal guidance and direction
- Ability to independently research, design, document, and implement new database services
