Nocturnist Physician Hospitalist - Internal Medicine

Palm Health Resources seeks Internal Medicine residency trained physicians to join a thriving, rapidly growing hospitalist practice in Southeast Alabama. The facility, a 420-bed regional referral center, manages its own hospitalist program. Currently, the practice comprises over 25 full-time board-certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist physicians. The staffing model for the Nocturnist shift (7 p.m. 7 a.m.) consists of 2 physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners. Serving a diverse patient population spanning various age groups, socio-economic classes, and ethnicities, the facility provides ample opportunities for professional growth and development.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

Provide coverage for unassigned patients who present to ED requiring inpatient care, care for transfers and in hospital consults
Admit and co-manage with intensivist support adult patients in critical care

24/7 pulm/critical care support for all CC admissions
24 hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of in house radiology physician 24/7

12 hour work shifts, 7p-7a

Minimum requirement is 12 shifts/month
