Position Overview
Genesis Technical Staffing is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design and analysis of structural systems for power infrastructure projects, including substations, transmission facilities, and power generation sites. This role works closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver safe, efficient, and code-compliant designs supporting EPC energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures supporting power and energy infrastructure projects.
Design foundations, equipment supports, structural frames, and substation structures.
Develop structural calculations, engineering reports, and design documentation.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, and construction teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Review vendor drawings and technical submittals for compliance with project specifications.
Provide engineering support during construction, including resolving field issues and RFIs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering
5+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably supporting power, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
Experience with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, or similar tools.
Knowledge of structural design codes including IBC, ASCE, AISC, and ACI.
PE license or the ability to obtain preferred.
Experience
