Looking for a Buyer who will be able to provide delivery assurance in a fast-paced high matrixed environment. You will be supporting the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) facility. You will ensure that the day-to-day supply chain management activities such as placing purchase orders and managing suppliers ensuring they execute on quality and on-time delivery at cost to meet our financial goal. You will interact with multiple programs, departments and both domestic and international suppliers. In addition, you will play a key role in developing and managing the supplier relationship.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the procurement cycle from purchase request to payment of invoice
- Identify, evaluate and setup new suppliers
- Evaluate supplier quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers
- Align supplier schedules with facility needs
- Obtain schedule and delivery confirmations from suppliers
- Status purchase orders
- Coordinate material needs, expedites, updates and change orders with suppliers
- Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance
- Conduct Supply Market Analysis
- Ensure parts documentation is clear, accurate, and organized
- Support strategic projects in support of facility/company goals
- Create and present metrics and supporting reports to suppliers, peers, and managers
- Able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally when circumstances require
- Performs other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
- Beginner knowledge of supplier management
- Beginner knowledge of purchasing process
- MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Bigger experience using an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system
- Knowledge of ERP system
- Knowledge of purchasing process
- Ability to negotiate, troubleshoot and problem solve
- Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
- Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
- Self-directed and action-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed
- Able to communicate and presenting precise information to internal/external customers and leadership
- Continuous Improvement process knowledge
- Able read, write, speak & understand the English language
