We are seeking for an experienced Database Administrator with a strong skillset in SQL server administration and database maintenance to join our team as a SQL Server Administrator II to support the USAF on an IT Support Services contract. A SQL Server Administrator II will perform day-to-day administration, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases.This is a salaried position, full-time, onsite at the Maxwell Air Force Base Gunter Annex.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have an active US DoD Secret or higher clearance
• Active IAT Level II or higher certification
• Available to work onsite Monday-Friday standard day hours
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and performance by managing backups, applying updates, and performing regular health checks
• Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for MS SQL server issues
• Provide technical support for end-users and resolve issues related to MS SQL Server operations
• Develop and enforce best practices for MS SQL usage
• Conduct diagnostics, troubleshoot database problems, and optimize query performance to maintain efficient and reliable database environments.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize system performance and reliability

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 7+ years of experience in systems administration
• 5+ years of experience in MS SQL administration
• At minimum one Active MS Certification (Azure Security Engineer Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (Server Admin) required
• Active CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification required
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP desired
• High attention to detail
• Superb documentation skills
• Self-motivated to continuously grow skillset and stay at the forefront of technology evolution
• DoD experience preferred
