Snelling is recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist for an established company in the Bessemer area! CNC Machinists are responsible for handling materials and creating products in a timely manner while maintaining quality and low turnover. Machinists must be competent with G-Code and have vast experience of checking gauges and precision measuring tools (micrometers and calipers). Knowledge of Siemens Control is preferred.

Responsibilities and Requirements for CNC Machinist:

• Support and communicate with technicians and machinists, while being capable of performing other job duties in case of employee absence or additional requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Ability to stand on your feet for long hours.
• Ability to operate power tools and various machines.
• Must be comfortable handling firearms.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass knowledge assessment test at the time of interview.

Education/Experience Required of CNC Machinist:

• High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Competent with G-Code and have vast experience of checking gauges and precision measuring tools (micrometers and calipers).
• Knowledge of Siemens Control is preferred.
• Prior knowledge/understanding of the manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, comprehend and listen to verbal instructions.
