Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Carpenters for projects located in and around Gulf Shores, AL. This is a full time opportunity with a pay range fo $30-37/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Furniture and cabinet construction and installation

• Deck repair and new deck installation

• Fitting and installation of interior appliances

• Veneer installation and finishing

• Assessing job requirements and time estimates prior to starting

• Assigning parts/purchases to appropriate vessel/job tickets

• Accurately logging time per job in timekeeping system

• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Cross-functional support in other crafts such as paint and fiberglass as needed

Requirements:

• • Minimum 3 years of Marine Carpentry experience

  • Familiarity with exotic woods such as teak, holly, and mahogany

  • Strong understanding of marine construction materials and techniques

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications

  • Proficiency with a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment

  • Must possess personal hand tools

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team

  • Physically able to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and climb stairs/scaffolding on land and on vessels

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must pass a Drug Screen, Background Check and pre-employment physical

  • Valid driver’s license required
