Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to social work practices and ethics in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
2. Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to coordinate and integrate social work services into the overall treatment plan for patients.
3. Provide guidance to social work staff, including mentoring, training, and performance evaluations.
4. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards for patient confidentiality and informed consent.
5. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to develop and review treatment plans and address the social and emotional needs of patients.
6. Conduct assessments and provide individual and group therapy to patients, as needed.
7. Advocate for patients' rights and work with community resources to facilitate discharge planning and aftercare services.
8. Collaborate with external agencies, such as child protective services or adult protective services, to address any concerns related to patient safety and well-being.
9. Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and trends in the field of social work, and integrate this knowledge into practice and program development.

Qualifications:

1. Master's Degree in Social Work Required
2. LMSW license Required or licensed eligible
3. LICSW preferred
4. Previous experience in a mental healthcare setting, preferably in social services coordination.
5. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
6. A commitment to enhancing the emotional and social well-being of patients and residents.
7. Ability to navigate and address complex social dynamics with sensitivity and professionalism.
