Job Summary and Qualifications

The Onsite Collections Specialist is responsible for assisting in verifying insurance co-pays, payment posting for patient's accounts, counseling patients on insurance benefits and co-payments. The Onsite Payment Collector position has the possibility to work 1 of 3 shifts at a local hospital.

In this role you will:

Verify patient insurance

Post payments to patient account

Arrange for repayment or establish repayment schedules, based on customers' financial situations Submit money collected at the end of each shift.

Data entry (knowledge of Excel spreadsheets) and scanning documents. • Answer customer questions regarding their accounts

Speak with patients face to face using excellent customer service abilities

Reliable transportation is a requirement

Will be required to train and understand all policies and procedures for all facilities including Inpatient Financial Counseling.

Cross train on reports and other duties as determined by Management.

Provide coverage for Team Leads for administrative days scheduled.

Schedule of hours assigned will be provided 1 week in advance. You will be required to be available to work the days and shifts listed on the schedule unless PTO has been requested in accordance to policy.

The location will change as business needs arise. You agree to work the location assigned to you by Management.

You will be accessible by telephone during your scheduled time and will be required to respond within 30 minutes to any attempts of contact.

Qualifications:

High School or GED or related experience in lieu.

Minimum one year related experience preferred, preferably in healthcare.
