Butler Snow LLP is seeking candidates interested in joining our litigation team in the position of Counsel or Senior Counsel (title determination commensurate with experience) for the Constitutional & Civil Rights Litigation Practice Group. This team, primarily based in Huntsville, maintains a national practice with an emphasis on federal court class actions. The firm is interested in candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

What you will do:

• Be a strategic part of a defense litigation team committed to providing excellent representation to our clients
• Participate in trial preparation include case strategy, discovery, records review, client and witness interviews
• Take and defend depositions
• Prepare and argue motions
• Write compelling and thoroughly researched briefs and legal memorandums
• Research and analyze complex litigation areas

What you bring:

• Experience in defense litigation;
• Expertise in taking and defending depositions;
• Ability to research and investigate complex litigation areas;
• Excellent writing abilities
• License to practice law in Alabama.
