Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a Director, Gastroenterology to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine t o maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:- Senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the clinical, administrative, quality, and academic functions of the GI division.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Lead strategic growth, develop advanced clinical programs, and foster a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Oversee clinical quality, performance metrics, and patient safety initiatives to ensure best-in-class, evidence-based care.
- Lead program development, including expansion of advanced GI services, procedures, and infrastructure.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain physicians, APPs, and trainees while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain an active clinical practice, including inpatient service, outpatient care, and supervision of trainees.
- Drive academic excellence through teaching, curriculum development, and growth of research initiatives in collaboration with affiliated institutions.
Qualifications
Board Certification in Gastroenterology
Five (5) years of Gastroenterology experience
Wages and Benefits include:
Annual Base Salary: $371,000* with a $37,100* stipend for leadership responsibility.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $484,100** which includes the baseline salary, stipend, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below:
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.

Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
