As a Security Officer Patrol Rover in Bessemer, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and media location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office, campus, warehouse, and/or perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions, and assist with visitor processing and delivery coordination in accordance with location protocols.
• Support a professional environment within a technology-focused location by communicating clearly with site contacts and assisting with security-related requests as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
