Tool and Die Technician - Automotive Stamping
Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent client in Birmingham, AL is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Technician with a focus on automotive stamping. The ideal candidate will have strong abilities in troubleshooting, stamping operations, and a solid foundation in both electrical and mechanical systems.

• $30.00 /hourly +
• 2nd and 3rd Shift Available
• Full Time/Direct Hire

• Maintain and repair tooling and dies used in automotive stamping operations.
• Building or repairing all types, sizes and shapes of tools, dies, fixtures and jigs.
• Assemble and try out complex tools and dies on manufacturing equipment as required for production
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with stamping equipment and processes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on dies and stamping equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all maintenance and repair activities.

• High school Diploma or General Education (GED)
• Completion of formal apprenticeship program with journeyman card or equivalent to 5+ years’ experience
• Experience with stamping equipment and processes in an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills such as 8D and 5 Why
• Experience with tear down, repairs, and reassembling tooling.
• Troubleshooting
