Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill Machine Operator positions for a Manufacturing company in Huntsville, AL. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

• Operate hot wire slabber, contour cutter, down cutter, slitter, bandsaw, densifier, and other equipment as needed
• Support machine and material preparation for production
• Assist with setting machine parameters such as speed, size, and shape
• Load programs and files under supervision
• Replenish materials and support ongoing machine operations
• Stage completed parts and prepare them for shipping
• Complete documentation as required
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area
• Comply with all safety and quality standards
• Report equipment or safety issues as needed
• Complete other tasks as assigned

Compensation (USD):

$17.00/hour

Schedule:

1st Shift
Monday - Friday
5:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1–2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment such as Hot Wire Machines, Down Cutter, CNC, or Waterjet
• Ability to read and interpret written, illustrated, and verbal instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure is required
• Must be able to multitask and communicate effectively in a team environment
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and perform physical job functions such as standing, stooping, bending, and twisting
• Forklift certification preferred
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
