Position Title: Senior Computer Scientist (Contract Program/Project Manager)

Location: Huntsville, AL (Redstone Arsenal, hybrid) or Washington, DC

Remote Work: Not authorized without prior government approval

Clearance Level: Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility

Education Level: Master's degree (or equivalent experience)

Experience: Eight (8) years of relevant experience in Computer Science; Four (4) years of relevant Program/Project Manager experience

This position is for a proposal with the FBI; current or previous experience is required. A Letter of Intent is also required to be signed to be submitted along with your resume.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Eight (8) years of relevant experience in Computer Science
• Four (4) years of relevant Program/Project Manager experience
• Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments
• Plans and leads major technology assignments
• Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
• Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments with supervisory capabilities
• Collaborates with CT investigators, analysts, and professional staff, engaging non-technical personnel to understand functional needs/issues/gaps
• Recommends solutions and develops technically feasible tools in a timely manner
• Builds and supports preparation of basic technical, business, and end user documentation
• Identifies and recommends remedies, implements solutions enhancing existing software and systems capabilities, performance, and security
• Performs programming (e.g., Python), code refactoring, systems operations, and design
• Evaluates COTS, GOTS, OSS, and other software and systems to implement algorithmically complex data and technology solutions
• Provides thought leadership and technical and analytical expertise to Government and vendor project teams
• Ensures vendor project team adherence to quality standards
• Manages integration of vendor tasks, tracks project progress, and conducts project analysis resulting in appropriate metrics

Required Technical Proficiencies:

• Expert knowledge in one or more of: User interface/User experience (UI/UX), Front-end engineering, API development, and/or Data engineering
• Scoping, planning, and completing full lifecycle engineering projects
• Managing development and implementation of projects assigned to contractor staff
• Managing, communicating and contributing to enterprise architecture efforts
• Engineering trade-off analysis and feasibility studies
• Proof-of-concept prototypes to explore technical implementation options

Required and Desired Certifications:

• Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC)-P/PM and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Commercial Cloud, Cybersecurity, Microsoft, Databricks, and/or Splunk platform certifications (preferred)
