Senior Construction Project Engineer

Seeking a Senior Construction Project Engineer for a direct hire opportunity. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Cape Canaveral, FL. Relocation assistance is available!

Salary is between $137,000 - $178,000 per year (based on experience)

The Senior Construction Project Engineer supports the successful execution of assigned projects by ensuring alignment with technical scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives. This role provides technical leadership, supports project planning and execution, and collaborates closely with the Project Manager to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Travel or temporary relocation may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical execution of construction projects to meet scope, schedule, and financial goals.

• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycle.

• Interpret design documents, manage technical submittals, and oversee inspections and testing documentation.

• Monitor subcontractor and craft performance; manage RFIs and coordinate with engineering teams.

• Review subcontractor work plans and proactively identify and mitigate risks.

• Support development of project cost and schedule baselines.

• Manage master schedules and short-term look-ahead planning.

• Coordinate permitting, environmental approvals, and regulatory compliance.

• Promote strong safety and quality programs.

• Lead commissioning, closeout, and turnover processes.

Qualifications:

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

• 8+ years of progressive construction industry experience.

• Strong knowledge of estimating, scheduling, and project controls.

• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.

• TAKT planning experience a plus.

• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

• Willingness to travel as needed.
