We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to manage the daily operations of a team of housekeepers in White River Junction, VT. Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Participates in the hiring and training of janitorial staff.
• Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of a janitorial staff of ten (10).
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supervise the operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment, including preventive maintenance, and training of all janitors in proper safety practices for working with and around cleaning equipment and chemicals in all environments
• Performs quality control inspections to ensure compliance with scope of work and standards are being met
• Provide hands-on support and the ability to perform work when necessary. This may include, but is not limited to: dust mopping, sweeping, stripping/refinishing, carpet extraction, servicing restrooms, window washing, etc.
• Ensure employees comply with company standards related to clocking in and out at the start and end of shift; monitor and approve timecards.
• Participates in company and customer training ensuring effective communication and distribution of information to customers and employees.
• Assists with administrative tasks involving janitorial personnel as directed.
• Resolves customer complaints while ensuring management are kept informed while also attending staff meetings to discuss customer complaints.
• Supervises inventory of janitorial supply products.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to write detailed reports and operate housekeeping equipment required.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous janitorial experience working in a medical environment and one year of supervisory level experience is highly desired i.e., hospitals, doctors office, etc.
• Must be a self starter, punctual and reliable person willing to be a team player.
• Nationwide background check
• Experience operating large motorized housekeeping equipment a Plus!
• Stripping and waxing floors experience a Plus!
• The facility requires a Real ID for entry.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
