IPTA is looking for great talented people to support the work at the Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC). AvMC is the Army's focal point for providing research, development and engineering technology and services for aviation and missile platforms across the life cycle. AvMC's mission is to "deliver collaborative and innovative aviation and missile capabilities for responsive and cost-effective research, development, and life cycle engineering solutions" to equip the Warfighter with the best technology today and tomorrow.
Responsibilities:
- Assess current and future customer technology needs for unclassified and classified environments and recommend technological upgrades and strategies to optimize operations
- Lead, supervise and mentor IT engineers, including performance evaluations, training, and development
- Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet program objectives and deliver high quality solutions to the customer
- Experience putting together high-level technical work plans, schedules, and providing guidance to engineering teams in successful development and demonstration of the solution/product to the customer
- Work collaboratively with the program manager to assist in planning program activities, manage resources, effectively manage program budgets, and identify/manage/mitigate program risks
- Interface with customer technical representatives to build customer confidence and trust
Requirements:
- Master's degree in computer science or related field
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Fifteen (15) years of prior experience in a similar role
- DoD 8570 Level II/III certification desired
- Active Security Clearance required
