Georgia Medical Staffing is in need of a FT Psychiatrist for a full-time, 1 year (plus) VA contract in Tuskegee, AL.

Contract end - June 12, 2027 with option to extend likely

Central Valley VA Healthcare System

Any state license accepted

Must be BC or truly BE

Scope:

Inpatient Care: All psychiatrists will be required to work in collaboration with Mental Health staff who are part-time or full time salaried by the VA for inpatient care duties including but not limited to:

• Operating and collaborating physician's patients
• Seeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service - Ward Patients
• Admitting
• Diagnosis of patients
• Developing Treatment Plans
• Managing, including the performance of timely treatment
• Discharge/Transfer
• Including all needed medical record documentation
• Outpatient Care
• Seeing all new patient referrals with accompanying medical records
• Seeing severely mental ill patients
• Evaluation disposition E-consult
• Post-discharged follow up
• Patients must be seen by provider in 30 days

Clinic and Residential Care: Provide clinical psychiatry services. Clinical duties include direct patient care.

• Operate the clinic, examine patients, and interpret reports as required by the VA.
• Be present and on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic.
• Required to work with VA staff. Should clinic hours need to be changed, VA will provide a thirty-day advanced notice of the change. Approximate case load is as follows:
• 6 to 6.5 patient bookable hours per day.
• 6 patients for an hour each or roughly 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day totaling 6 to 6.5 bookable patient hours per day.
• Create on-call schedule
• Communication of test results
• Follow all medication policies

Hours:

Clinic Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM

Call: Monday through Friday 4:30pm – 7:30am; Friday through Monday 4:30pm – 8:00am; and Federal Holidays 8:00am – 8:00pm. On Call schedule made at end of each month. Provider must be available on-call during all hours when the facility clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Pay:

$135 per hour
