Job Summary
W e are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Manufacturing Technician to support technical manufacturing, testing, troubleshooting, and process operations. The Manufacturing Technician will perform hands-on technical duties related to electronics, testing, measurements, equipment operation, and process controls
Job Description
- Perform technical duties within assigned manufacturing and functional work areas.
- Conduct testing, measurements, operations, and process controls in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow written technical procedures, job packets, routings, work orders, quality documentation, wire lists, and bills of material.
- Perform electronic testing and troubleshooting to identify product, process, or program defects.
- Diagnose problems and perform appropriate repairs or adjustments.
- Use a variety of electronic test and measurement equipment, including: Power supplies, including low- and high-voltage systems up to 1,000V, Oscilloscopes, Digital multimeters, Frequency generators, Variable resistive loads.
- Read and interpret basic schematics, technical drawings, blueprints, and related documentation.
- Identify electronic and mechanical components.
- Perform wire preparation, stripping, crimping, harness repair, and termination as required.
- Use appropriate manual hand tools to complete assigned work.
- Maintain production tools, test equipment, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Perform basic software testing and execute technical scripts as required.
- Record and maintain accurate production, testing, and quality information.
- Utilize computer systems and SAP to support manufacturing activities and documentation.
- Work with Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, reporting, and data management.
- Support functional work group projects and manufacturing initiatives.
- Apply established manufacturing principles and processes to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all applicable safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- 2 years of relevant work experience OR an Associate's Degree in Electronics.
- Ability to follow written technical procedures.
- Basic understanding of electronics theory.
- Basic ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using electronic test equipment.
- Ability to use power supplies, including low/high voltage equipment up to 1,000V.
- Ability to use oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, frequency generators, and variable resistive loads.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Computer skills and familiarity with SAP.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows 11 and Windows 10; experience with Windows XP and Windows 2000 is also noted for this role.
- Basic ability to run and understand software scripts.
- English language proficiency.
- Ability to manually lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or testing.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic products, processes, or programs.
- Experience with wire preparation, stripping, crimping, harness repair, or termination.
- Familiarity with automated machinery operation or programming.
- Experience working with mechanical assemblies or hydraulics.
- Experience using manufacturing documentation such as work orders, routings, quality travelers, wire lists, and bills of material.
Education
- Associate's Degree in Electronics is an accepted qualification.
- Candidates may also qualify with 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of the degree.
Additional requirements
- S h i ft: M-F, 08:00 - 04:00 p.m
Pay rate
- $20 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
