Summary

Manage the physical operation of the branch warehouse including all shipping and receiving activities, in addition to the day-to-day activities of all warehouse personnel.

Areas of responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Ensure that branch safety programs are communicated and adhered to by all staff
• Ensure all material is shipped, received, and stored correctly and accurately
• Verify correctness and completeness of received materials and are properly recorded
• Coordinate with appropriate branch personnel on inventory stock levels and space requirements per management’s direction
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing inventory
• Prepare warehouse for and assist with physical and or TWL inventory counts as directed by management
• Lead and provide staff training as necessary to support employee development

Education, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge

• Must be able to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack
• Knowledge of computerized inventory and tracking systems (Trend SXe, TWL)
• Strong warehouse operational skills
• Basic math skills
• Teamwork, multi-tasking, and leadership skills
• Familiarity with materials and units of measure
• Ability to write legibly and communicate clearly with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintain a basic knowledge of forklifts and other equipment to determine necessary repairs

Work Environment

Warehouse/fabrication environment

Physical demands may include but are not limited to:

• High level of walking, standing, and/or climbing
• Stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Work outside/inside around machinery with moving parts and vehicles
• Exposure to all seasons of weather, as well as slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 60lbs
