Per Diem School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Montgomery, AL Area

This per diem position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential healthcare and academic support in a school environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group support for academic, behavioral, and social needs under teacher direction
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Implement and follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide mobility support, supervision, and personal care as required
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning and growth

Qualifications:

• Active Alabama LPN license
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Compliance with TB testing requirements
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
• Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to placement

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school nursing, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Additional certifications such as CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Professional Management Techniques), or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) are a plus
• Strong reliability, patience, and ability to collaborate within a team
