We are seeking an Assembly Engineer to join our team! The Assembly Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, safety, and quality in production.
The Topre Assembly Engineer will be responsible for managing equipment built in both the US and Japan. Communication with other departments to ensure successful product launch is a must. Schedule and oversee line trials. The Topre Assembly Engineer work in manufacturing plants, laboratories, or offices, and may be required to spend time on the production floor to monitor processes and perform duties and responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage installation of assembly equipment including but not limited to outside contractors.
- Ensure part quality for trials.
- Schedule and oversee line trials.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure a successful product launch.
- Ability to work weekends as needed to complete the task at hand.
- Ability for overnight travel including international travel.
- Ability to map out and design good process flows.
- Develop machine processes and equipment layouts.
- Conduct tests and monitor process performance throughout production, identifying areas for improvement and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement cost-saving ideas.
- Degree in engineering preferred but not required.
- Understanding of robotic systems preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve process-related issues effectively.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Solidworks or other drafting software preferred but not required
- Ability to work both on a team or individually.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills
- Detailed oriented
- Organization skills
- High and Low Voltage knowledge preferred but not required
- Camera vision systems preferred but not required
- 3D Design & Printing preferred but not required
- Good communication skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, welding preferred
- Ability to create and manage schedules to accomplish the task at hand.
Other Requirements: Must be available for phone calls after business hours and/or on weekends. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Occasional overtime during week and weekends.
