Cost Analyst

Job Title: Cost Analyst
Location: Birmingham, Alabama

Type: 3 year Contract
Compensation: $40.00 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite

System One is currently seeking a Cost Analyst on a 3 year contract position located in Birmingham, AL.

Cost Analyst Responsibilities:

• Track and analyze project budgets, actual cost, and financial performance.
• Identify cost variances and investigate root causes.
• Drive budget preparation and cost projections.
• Ensure project cost align with financial goals and constraints.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to adjust budgets based on project scope changes.
• Prepare financial reports and cost documentation for stakeholders.
• Work closely with finance and compliance to meet regulatory standards.

Cost Analyst Requirements:

• 5 to 10 years of experience specializing in monitoring, analyzing project cost, and ensuring compliance.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience providing cost analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Access, Word, Power BI)
• Multitasking in a face paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to develop strong internal and external client working relationships.
• Adaptable and flexible in a changing and evolving environment.
• Ability to work on multiple complex projects and tasks and work closely day to day with the project managers and other project controls analysts.
