10K Forklift Operator
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a 10K Forklift Operator for a company based in Pelham, AL. The ideal candidate for this position is responsible for safely operating a 10,000-pound forklift to load, unload, transport, and stage building materials throughout the lumber yard. The ideal candidate will have experience handling oversized materials in an outdoor environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, efficiency.

Pay Rate
$17.00 an hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6:00am – till done

10K Forklift Operator- Associate - Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a 10K forklift to move lumber, trusses, siding, roofing materials, and other building products throughout the yard.
• Load and unload customer vehicles, flatbeds, and delivery trucks safely and efficiently.
• Pull, stage, and verify customer orders for accuracy.
• Organize and maintain inventory within designated yard locations
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure materials are secured and properly stored to prevent damage.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all OSHA, company, and site safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service when assisting drivers, contractors, and customers in the yard.
• Work closely with yard personnel, dispatch, and management to ensure timely order fulfillment.

10K Forklift Operator- Associate - Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of forklift experience in a lumber yard or pipe yard operating a 10,000 lb. forklift.
• Ability to safely handle large, heavy, and oversized materials.
• Able to work outdoors
• Lumber yard or building materials experience
• Ability to read work orders and shipping documents
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Job Type
Full-time, temporary to hire
