As a Security Officer - Healthcare Center Patrol - Overnight Shifts in Alabaster, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment within a healthcare location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, observing for unusual activity, and responding to security-related situations with professionalism and care. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential for assisting individuals and addressing inquiries in a compassionate manner. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a secure environment.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and any unusual activity according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals during evacuations or medical emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and local authorities as required to address security-related concerns within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
