A retail staff pharmacist position is available for per diem coverage in Montgomery, AL, with occasional work required at a second specialty pharmacy location nearby. The assignment spans April 9 and April 28 through May 1.
Location:
- Montgomery, AL (with flexibility to work at the Dothan, AL location as needed)
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
Responsibilities:
- Verify prescription accuracy and appropriateness
- Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians, leading a small team
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and best practices
Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama State Pharmacist license in good standing (no negative history)
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in retail staff pharmacy
- Experience working in a busy independent or specialty pharmacy environment
- Leadership experience managing pharmacy technicians
- Experience with Pioneer RX is a plus but not required
This role offers an opportunity to work within a fast-paced pharmacy setting that integrates specialty pharmacy services. Candidates must be capable of covering multiple locations as part of a flexible team.
