Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant with 7–10 years of strong, hands-on experience in CAD/CAE application support, development, and system maintenance. This role involves technical leadership in managing a wide range of engineering tools across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, systems engineering, and MBSE domains. The ideal candidate will also possess strong licensing server administration skills (e.g., FlexNet, LM-X) and be capable of optimizing tool performance, user access, and system reliability.

K ey Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical leadership in the support, deployment, configuration, and maintenance of complex CAD/CAE applications, including:
2. Siemens tools: NX, SolidEdge, FEMAP, Nastran, Mentor Graphics
3. Autodesk tools: AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, 3DS Max
4. PTC Creo, MathWorks (MATLAB, Simulink), Ansys, ECAD
5. Perform application administration, upgrades, patching, and validation testing across all supported platforms.
6. Optimize performance and reliability of engineering systems; provide recommendations for system architecture and design improvements.
7. Manage and maintain license servers (e.g., FlexNet, LM-X, Reprise), ensuring high availability and compliance.
8. Work with Engineering, IT, and Business teams to integrate CAD/CAE tools with systems such as PLM (Teamcenter, Windchill), ERP, and MES.
9. Lead or support tool integration projects, including automation, scripting, and workflow customization.
10. Monitor tool performance and user activity to support capacity planning and licensing optimizations.
11. Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, coordinate with vendors for licensing and technical support.
12. Provide mentorship and training to end users and junior team members; develop documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
13. Stay updated with latest CAD/CAE tool features and trends; contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering IT environment.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. 7–10 years of progressive experience with CAD/CAE tools in an enterprise environment.
3. Deep technical expertise in administering and supporting tools from:
4. Siemens (NX, SolidEdge, Nastran, FEMAP, Mentor)
5. Autodesk (AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, 3DS Max)
6. PTC (Creo), MathWorks (MATLAB, Simulink), Ansys, ECAD
7. Proven experience managing license servers (FlexNet, LM-X or equivalent).
8. Strong understanding of engineering workflows, product development cycles, and system integration best practices.
9. Experience supporting MBSE, PLM integration, and enterprise-grade engineering applications.

Preferred Skills:

1. Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Shell, VBScript) for automation and integration.
2. Experience in a regulated or high-security environment (e.g., aerospace, automotive, defense).
3. Exposure to DevOps practices and version control systems.
4. Knowledge of networking and server architecture related to CAD/CAE environments.
