Position: Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Assistant will support the Maintenance Director in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Assist in setting up rooms or equipment for special events or resident needs.
• Support snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal maintenance tasks.
• Communicate effectively with staff and residents to address maintenance concerns.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a related field required
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable, Ambitious, Patient, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic .
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency maintenance as needed.
