Snelling is searching for Welders in the Birmingham, AL area! 2nd shift openings, with overtime! The starting pay rate for this position is $22.00-27.00/hr, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities for Welders:

• Fitting & welding parts using information from production drawings, shop travelers & work instructions as required utilizing MIG welder, fixtures, and basic welding tools to meet print specifications.
• Responsible for setting appropriate welding machine parameters for the material being welded.
• Responsible for making welds to meet print specifications.
• Responsible for producing strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
• Basic operation of robotic weld cell as assigned
• Verifies conformance of finished part to print specifications and quality standards.

Job Skills and Experience needed for Welders:

• Knowledge of welding processes and equipment.
• Ability to weld vertical, flat, and overhead.
• Ability to operate acetylene torches.
• Ability to read tape measures and angle finders, blueprint drawings, and AWS weld symbols.
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• 3+ years of welding experience or vocational school training.
