Structural Fitters
Genesis Staffing is seeking a talented Structural Fitter for the Creola, Al area.
Payrate: $25-$27 per hour (additional $3 an hour bonus based on performance)
Hours: M-F mornings with some possible OT
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a fabrication environment.
- Proven experience working with structural steel, plate, and pipe fabrication.
- Ability to perform tack welding using:
- MIG and Flux-Cored (FCAW) processes
- TIG experience is a plus but not required
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex 2D and 3D blueprints and specifications
- Capable of performing basic math:
- Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
- O.D., I.D., circumference, radius, chord, strap
- Working knowledge of basic rigging practices to safely move:
- Heavy materials and sub-assemblies
- Overhead cranes, lulls, and chain hoists
- Understanding of proper signaling and safe material handling practices
- Must possess strength, stamina, manual dexterity, and good eyesight
- Ability to work in various positions, including:
- Standing for extended periods
- Confined or cramped spaces
- Overhead work
- Ladders and scaffolding
