This opportunity seeks a Pharmacist to provide per diem coverage in a busy retail and specialty pharmacy setting located in Montgomery, AL, with additional assignments in Dothan, AL. The role involves managing daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate prescription verification, and leading a pharmacy technician team. The assignment spans key coverage dates in April and May, perfect for candidates seeking flexible work within the pharmacy sector.
Location:
- Montgomery, AL (with the ability to work at Dothan, AL location as needed)
Schedule:
- Monday Thursday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: Closed
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions accurately, maintaining high safety and quality standards
- Manage and supervise pharmacy technician(s) to ensure smooth workflow
- Support specialty pharmacy operations in a dynamic retail environment
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Alabama State Pharmacist license with no negative history
- Minimum 2 years recent retail pharmacy experience, preferably in a fast-paced or independent/specialty pharmacy setting
- Ability and willingness to travel between Montgomery and Dothan locations as needed
- Experience with Pioneer RX software is a strong plus
