Land Surveyor

Job Title: Land Surveyor
Location: Calera, Alabama
Type: 3 year Contract
Compensation: $31.00
Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret grading plans and soil reports accurately
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Employ a minimum of 5 years surveying experience, preferably with robotic instrument GPS and Data Collector instruments
• Possess previous civil construction work experience is preferred
• Be a self-starter, organized, and demonstrate good interpersonal and time management skills
• Use various software including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Work efficiently in field offices and on job sites
• Proficiency with Computers and/or iPad required

• Preferred experience with reading and interpreting grading plans and soil reports
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Minimum 5 years of surveying experience with GPS and Data Collector instruments
• Previous civil construction experience is a plus
• Self-motivated, organized, with excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to work at the field office and job site
• Proficient with Computers and iPad
• Candidates must be available for in-person discussion in Gadsden, AL (in person is mandatory)
