CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Fredericksburg, VA (22401) – Virginia healthcare jobs
• Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital, Level II Trauma Center
• Assignment Duration: 13-week travel contract (Start: 9/23/2025 – End: 12/23/2025)
• Shift: Night shifts (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), 18:30 – 07:00 (12-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• On-call: 1 night per week, includes holiday rotation
• Average Caseload: 110 patients daily
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,090 - $2,140

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience (first-time travelers welcome)
• Valid Virginia State License (90-day temporary form accepted while VA license is processing)
• ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, adult ICU, and Level II Trauma Center settings
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Community hospital or acute care experience required
• Ability to start peripheral IVs, administer contrast, and utilize PACS
• Strong CT imaging skills: Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Brain Perfusion, CT Angiography (CTA), Multiplanar Reconstruction

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Operate advanced CT imaging equipment and ensure accurate image acquisition
• Start IVs and administer contrast media as needed
• Collaborate with radiology assistants, transporters, and rapid response teams
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to all radiation safety protocols
• Accurately document procedures and patient data using Epic
• Participate in on-call and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Support stroke center protocols and utilize Viz AI for CT neuroimaging
