About this opening:

The Inventory Specialist performs tasks related to incoming and outgoing items and their use in production operations.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify, and stock incoming materials.
• Enter each receipt into the company's computer system, creating and affixing labels as appropriate.
• Assist in inventory control and inventory counts including making inventory adjustments in the company's computer system.
• Prepare items from inventory to be shipped to a customer or to be used in production.
• Using the company's computer system, issue items to work orders.
• Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments.
• When necessary, may operate company vehicle to make deliveries.
• Operate material handling and packaging equipment, including forklifts.
• Maintain, clean, and organize shipping, receiving and inventory areas.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Required Skills:

• Good communication and time management skills
• Well organized and detail oriented - continuous attention to detail
• Shows initiative and is able to work and interact well with others
• Ability to accurately input and read data from the PC
• Quickly absorb product knowledge
• Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
• Accurately receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment
• Must understand and follow safety procedures
• Must be able to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• Identify problems and report information to appropriate personnel
• Good computer skills

Education / Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED
• MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Three years work experience in related field
