Technical Specialist
If you enjoy solving complex equipment problems, improving manufacturing performance, and working with cutting-edge automation technology, this opportunity offers the technical challenge and career growth many maintenance and controls professionals are looking for.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and wants more than repetitive maintenance work. You’ll work across robotics, PLCs, HMIs, industrial vision systems, and automated production equipment while helping drive capital improvements and automation innovation initiatives.
You’ll join a team that values technical expertise, collaboration, reliability, and continuous improvement — where your knowledge and troubleshooting ability directly impact operational success.
Why This Opportunity Is Different

You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead technical portions of automation and capital projects
- Work directly with robotics, vision systems, PLCs, and HMIs
- Support highly automated manufacturing equipment
- Contribute ideas for process optimization and innovation
- Work within a collaborative environment that values technical leadership and development

- Diagnose pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot motor controls and 24VDC to 480V three-phase systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems including Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Omron
- Program and troubleshoot HMIs
- Support robotic systems including maintenance and troubleshooting
- Program and maintain industrial vision systems such as Cognex and Keyence
- Lead technical execution of automation and capital improvement projects
- Improve machine reliability, uptime, and production performance
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Degree, Technical School certification in an engineering-related field OR equivalent hands-on industrial automation experience
- 5+ years of experience working with industrial automation equipment preferred
- Strong troubleshooting ability with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Experience with PLCs and HMIs, particularly Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi platforms
- Experience maintaining or programming robotics systems preferred (Yaskawa, Fanuc, Motoman)
- Experience with industrial vision systems such as Cognex or Keyence highly desirable
- Knowledge of motor controls and industrial power distribution systems
- Experience improving processes, troubleshooting equipment failures, and supporting new equipment installations
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work effectively across departments and with customers
- High level of professionalism and accountability
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to mentor, collaborate, and contribute positively within a team environment
- Competitive compensation based on experience and technical expertise
- Opportunity for long-term career growth within advanced manufacturing and automation
- Full-time onsite role within a manufacturing/production environment
- Position based within a warehouse/production facility environment
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and movement throughout the facility required
