Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital role in supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students across K-12 as a School Psychologist or Psychometrist. We are seeking dedicated professionals interested in a contract position based in the Spanish Fort, AL area, with both full-time and itinerant opportunities available for the upcoming school year.

We have two open positions: one based at an elementary school and another itinerant role serving a network of private schools (exact schools forthcoming), both with a strong likelihood of renewal for extended school year (ESY) and next school year (NSY) pending performance. Assignments are for 37.5 hours per week, with specified start and end dates from March 2025 through May 2026.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid and active Alabama school psychology license (must be able to provide documentation)
• Experience providing psychological assessments, counseling, and support to K-12 students
• Willingness to be on-site; virtual work is not available
• Flexibility to serve multiple schools, including possible itinerant responsibilities
• Ability to participate in time-sensitive credentialing and “prescreen” interviews
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and interpretations to support student learning and well-being
• Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement intervention strategies
• Document findings and recommendations in compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Provide direct and indirect support to students through counseling, behavior interventions, and team meetings
• Travel to multiple school sites as needed (for itinerant role)

This contract opportunity offers compensation at a rate of $48 - $50 per hour.
