Description: We are hiring a Residential Service Plumber at Standard Heating, Cooling and Plumbing!
Standard Heating, Cooling & Plumbing has been proudly serving the Birmingham area for decades, providing trusted HVAC and plumbing services backed by quality workmanship and a commitment to customer care. We’re continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Service Plumber to join our team in Birmingham, AL .

- Perform residential plumbing service calls, including diagnostics, repairs, and installations
- Clear and repair drains and sewer lines using proper tools and equipment (cable machines, hydro-jets, and cameras)
- Diagnose leaks, replace fixtures, and ensure systems meet safety and code standards
- Communicate clearly with homeowners to explain plumbing issues and present solutions
- Provide top-quality service with attention to detail and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a professional appearance and properly care for company vehicle and tools
- Complete work orders accurately using ServiceTitan (training provided if needed)
- Valid Alabama Journeyman or Apprentice Plumber License
- 2+ years of residential plumbing or drain service experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of drain cleaning, hydro-jetting, and sewer line diagnostics
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Experience selling or presenting plumbing and drain solutions is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
- Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
$26–$35 per hour, depending on experience + potential incentives
ScheduleFull-time, Monday–Friday, with rotating on-call availability
