Position Overview

Preferred Builder Resources is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our operations, administrative, and sales teams. This is more than a clerical role — it is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple departments and grow within a fast-paced, team-oriented company.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to learn the inner workings of operations, sales support, and business management within the building materials industry.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support

  • Assist the Operations Manager with inventory tracking and management
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate material reorders
  • Place orders with vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records

Administrative & HR Support

  • Assist the Office Manager with scheduling and calendar coordination
  • Support HR functions including onboarding paperwork and employee documentation
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems

Sales Support

  • Assist the sales team in preparing and sending proposals
  • Gather pricing, documentation, and necessary job details
  • Ensure proposals are accurate and delivered in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior administrative experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in construction or building materials is a plus

Compensation

  • Competitive pay based on experience 40-45k with quarterly kpi bonuses after 90 days of employment
  • Health, Dental, Vision and 3% 401k match. These will only be offered during open enrollment.
